Hi there, I’m Holland, owner and creator for Holland Haus Art! I started Holland Haus Art in August 2019 beginning with painting and poetry, and have added ink art, photography, soap, and entomology art along the way. I believe in a holistic and minimal approach to life, from what we look at, to what touches us emotionally and physically. I create natural contemporary pieces that are simultaneously ethereal and visceral. By creating a bridge between nature and humanity, we can better understand the world around us, and thus our purpose in it.

Art
Classically trained in art from the age of 13, I’ve always had a panache for the surreal. Inspired by Magritte and Matisse, I like to challenge the viewer to see things from a different perspective. I incorporate natural elements with whimsical surrealism to create one-of-a-kind works, all while keeping my productions environmentally and ethically aware. I monitor my impact on the environment with the materials that I use, and only source specimens from ethical suppliers.
Poetry
Specializing in the raw, my first book, ‘The Pain, the Pleasure, and Everything In Between’ follows my journey of growth since childhood to my mid-twenties. Words have always come easier in writing than in speaking, and I’m beyond excited to share with you my inner dialog, and the pivotal moments that have made me who I am. Not only writing, but reading poetry was a large part of my healing process, and I hope that my words may potentially aid someone in their growth journey.
Soap
Super random right?! How does an artist get into botanical soap anyways? It began like most things in my life, passion! I began Naked Lady Soap, artisan botanical soap, in January 2020 after being thoroughly disappointed by the ingredients used in adorably shaped soaps. I have always been drawn to fun shaped soaps, but am horrified every time I read the ingredients, which generally include: parabens, sulfates, harsh chemicals, and artificial colors/fragrances. All of which are dangerous to our health and skin! Sure, there are all natural soaps, and there are shaped soaps, but not one soap that is both. I knew I could do better, especially with my past career as a medical esthetician, and my knowledge of skin health; thus Naked Lady Soap was conceived.
